This 6 foot roller crimper is engineered and manufactured to properly terminate a cover crop by crimping the stalk and not actually cutting it. Crimping your cover crop has tons of benefits, including:

The Tar River Implement Roller Crimper is a tool designed to terminate cover crops by crimping the stalk rather than cutting it during its “dough stage”. This process has several benefits, including the conservation of soil moisture, reduction of erosion, lessens the need for herbicides and addition of organic matter to the soil. It also suppresses weed growth and helps to cool soil temperatures during the summer months.
